As part of the cooperation between the Cote D'Azur University in Nice and the International Institute of Humanitarian Law of Sanremo, Italy, the Sanremo Department of International Refugee Law and Migration law presents the Online Course on International Refugee Law.

The course provides in-depth knowledge on international protection of refugees, emphasising the synergies between international refugee law and other legal bodies to ensure forcibly displaced persons' rights are upheld. The course unravels the complexities of different displacement phases, from the root causes that compel individuals to flee to the potential risks during displacement and the pursuit of long-term, sustainable solutions. The course adopts a cross-cutting approach to explore specialized issues such as human trafficking and migrant smuggling and the protection of stateless and internally displaced persons.
